Overview
Short version: Kvit stores all your session data locally on your device. We never transmit your bills, participants, or expense information to any server. The only data collected is anonymous analytics and, for non-premium users, advertising identifiers used by ad networks.
This Privacy Policy describes how mef.space ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Kvit mobile application ("the Application"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. By using Kvit, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Words with initial capital letters have specific meanings as defined below. These definitions apply whether the words appear in singular or plural form.

Data We Collect
Personal Data
We do not require registration and do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage events — for example, whether a session was created, an expense was added, or the results screen was viewed. These events contain no personally identifying information: they include only the event name, an approximate amount range (e.g. "€0–€50"), and the split type selected. This data is used solely to understand how the app is used and to improve it.
Device Information
Analytics and ad networks may collect standard device information such as device model, operating system version, and advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android). You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings.

Analytics & Crash Reporting
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized, aggregated statistics about how the Application is used. Firebase does not receive any bill content, participant names, or expense amounts. It receives only named events (e.g. expense_added, result_calculated) and anonymous properties.
Firebase Analytics data is processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising Services
Non-premium users see ads served by Appodeal. Appodeal is an ad mediation platform that may use your device's advertising identifier to deliver relevant advertisements.
Ads are shown on the results screen (banner) and when creating a new bill (interstitial). Purchasing Premium removes all advertising.

In-App Purchases & Premium
Kvit offers a one-time purchase to unlock the Premium tier ("Kvit Premium"). All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We never receive your full payment card details.
Upon successful purchase, we receive only a confirmation token. We store your premium status locally on your device using the platform's secure storage. This status is never transmitted to our servers.

Local Storage
All bill data — sessions, participants, expenses, and calculated results — is stored exclusively on your device using the platform's local storage (AsyncStorage on React Native). This data is never uploaded to any server.
Uninstalling the Application permanently deletes all locally stored data. We have no ability to recover it.
Security
We rely on your device's built-in security mechanisms — screen lock, encryption, and app sandboxing — to protect your locally stored data. While we take reasonable steps to ensure the Application is secure, no method of storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete it.
Third-Party Links
The Application may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Application after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
